Walk Portland wins Travel Oregon grant

Funding awarded to develop and deploy a pedestrian wayfinding pilot project

Walk Portland is one of just two projects in downtown Portland to win a competitive Travel Oregon grant, which recognizes “projects that contribute to the development and improvement of communities throughout the state by means of the enhancement, expansion and promotion of the visitor industry.”

We’ll use the funding to design and implement a pilot wayfinding system in order to test assumptions from our research phase and measure the impact of pedestrian wayfinding in downtown Portland.

We’re grateful to partners at the Portland Bureau of Transportation and Oregon Walks for preparing the grant application and looking forward to continuing our work together!
